  3. The old  typewriter's method to jump back one step
  4. by a backspace and then to repeat the character or
  5. to underline works well even with modern printers!
  6. Here a simple u_n_d_e_r_l_i_n_e_ just made with backspaces.
  7. Most printers can even output bboolldd by that method.
  8. Or in combination:  u_un_nd_de_er_rl_li_in_ne_ed_d_a_an_nd_d_b_bo_ol_ld_d together!!
  9. You  even can  s-t-r-i-k-e- o-u-t- a word directly by that.
